Responsible for management and delivery of the Process Transformation Hub (PTH) encompassing analysis, development and operations functions to deliver process automation services across L&G Group, offering process owners opportunities and access to transform their processes, leveraging PTH technical expertise and applications within the PTH Technology Toolkit.

1.            Responsible for the PTH Management Team who deliver the automation delivery and operations, whilst introducing new technology into the Hub’s toolkit to broaden the Hub’s service offering across L&G Group. To take the lead in all matters with regard to the management of employees, ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows the Group’s policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement to maximise business performance.

2.            Implement the PTH strategy, covering; scaling L&G automation activity to an enterprise level, introducing new solutions to the PTH Technology Toolkit and optimising automation activity / assets across L&G Group; to ensure value is continually realised from Hub activities. Responsible managing the controlled introduction of new technologies into the Hub’s ‘toolkit’ to broaden the Hub’s automation service offering across L&G Group.

3.            Ownership of the Technology Toolkit and associated 3rd party relationships / licencing, ensuring L&G maintain value for money and technology within the Toolkit remains current and utilised in-line within contractual licencing agreements. For other 3rd part relationships, ensuring that dependencies are identified and managed and deliverables are achieved, as defined without incurring unnecessary cost or delay to the project/programme.

4.            Take the lead, management and support for the overall PTH proposition to generate new process transformation engagements across L&G Group so PTH annual development and operational targets are realised.

5.            Ensure compliance with PTH’s Automation Playbook, Automation Development Standards and L&G’s policies and procedures to produce high quality automations through robust delivery governance.

6.            End to end change management responsibility for the Process Automation function; ensuring successful delivery of high complex projects, a medium project portfolio or a programme of work through establishing and maintaining the correct structures to control and monitor the deliverables to realise the benefits as defined in the Business Case. Ensures that a change control procedure  and RIAD processes are in place, and actively used to assess the risk and effect of changes to the projects/programme on costs, timescale and/or resource needs and reports these to the sponsors.

7.            Ensure that processes provide our customers with high quality service and a good customer experience, in alignment with L&G’s commitment to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) 

Qualifications or relevant equivalent experience:          

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner and/or APMP (or PQ) or PMI equivalent  (Desirable but not essential)
  •  Agile Foundation Certification or relevant equivalent experience
  •  IIBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis™ (CCBA®)
  •  Blue Prism Induction
  •  Blue Prism ROM Architect
  • ITSQB Foundation Certificate
  • Green Belt Six Sigma
  • Agile Practitioner Certification – PRINCE2, APMP, PMI, BCS or equivalent
  • MSP-    

Knowledge:      

Essential

  • Extensive knowledge of multiple automation applications within the PTH Technology Toolkit, including: (Essential)
  • Blue Prism Process & Object Studio
  • Xceptor
  • Duco
  • Extensive knowledge of Office software packages such as MS Office, Business Objects and MS Access
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and SQL (Transact & DB2) to build efficient, complex queries & Database Applications
  • Familiarity with Python / Java / C/C++

Desirable but not essential

  • Understanding the Regulatory framework of the UK Financial Services industry

Experience:

Essential

  • Extensive experience of end-to-end project delivery, Experience of working in a programme management role
  • Experience of working within Agile / DevOps environments
  • Experience of establishing and scaling automation functions
  • Understanding of automation development
