In this role you will manage relationships within our assigned intermediated account panel, promoting Group Protection products and proposition in order to deliver new business and retention targets and objectives, ensuring that all dealings with the market place support Legal & General’s Customer Experience, and business objectives are achieved in line with Group Protection’s growth and profitability expectations.

  • Achieving agreed account performance targets, through building business relationships at all levels with allocated accounts and market share across a range of products and proposition to achieve objectives, maintain or increase market share across the Group Protection product range
  • Maintaining agreed business plan to drive account development, relationship management and product promotion, through a defined contact strategy across an allocated panel of 60-100 intermediaries, demonstrating sound panel management skills throughout, so that business opportunities are maximized and targets are achieved
  • You’ll be influencing account strategy development by collating and providing market intelligence to your colleagues and other internal stakeholders so that relationships are commercially beneficial
  • Building effective relationships with colleagues in Group Protection and across the wider Legal & General business, so that your account management strategy is understood with mutual support to ensure accounts’ needs and expectations are met, and exceeded wherever possible
  • You’ll be responding to and taking ownership of pre renewal related enquiries, ensuring key information is collated timely to fulfil renewal, providing them and any other colleagues involved, with information and details of any follow up action required where appropriate, to ensure all opportunities are maximised
  • You’ll have a high level of knowledge of competitor and L&G products and propositions, as well as industry and market place awareness to deliver  superior, expert and quality interface with account panels
  • You will be interacting with customer services, and handle any customer complaints in difficult and sensitive situations with sympathy and empathy in order to resolve customer queries
  • A good knowledge of individual or group protection products & propositions and our industry
  • Proven experience in a sales role within financial services
  • You will ideally have a GR1 qualification however this is not essential
