In this Resilience Manager role you will be joining a specific Cyber Resilience and Disaster Recovery work stream building Technology Resilience capability across the Legal & General estate.  This team will be responsible for running the functions, including Governance, Strategy, Policies, Standards, Testing and Exercising, Cyber Recovery and ITDR, which Cyber Resilience and Disaster Recovery work stream is putting in place. This role can be based out of Hove, Cardiff or London with flexible working.

You'll coordinate and lead the execution of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity controls across Group IT and business units to ensure risks are identified, documented , managed/resolved and governance controls are adhered to.

You'll work with Business Unit teams to coordinate technical response to and recovery from major IT incidents ensuring risk appetite is met and to participate in post-incident reviews and analysis to minimise repeat incidents.  This will include providing effective and timely communication to relevant stakeholders.

You'll support infrastructure teams and suppliers as they implement measures to ensure compliance with control requirements on testing and exercising and the status of process risks

You'll chair the Disaster Recovery Working Group and drive the completion of associated actions/outputs.

You'll maintain up-to-date knowledge of market and industry trends, developments and tools to encourage continuous development of IT resilience capabilities.

 

Qualifications:  

•Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) and/ or Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP)

Skills:    

•Skills in managing senior stakeholders at executive, board and regulatory level

•All round problem solving skills

•Excellent spoken and written communication skills

• Facilitation and training skills

Experience:       

•Prior experience in managing Technology Resilience at a large and complex organisation

•Prior experience in managing and interacting with third parties when delivering Technology Resilience

•Experience in the management of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

•Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity scenario planning, exercising and testing experience

•Experience of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity governance

•Experience in testing Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity plans and reporting

Leadership:       

•Self-motivated and have the ability to work unsupervised

•Strong interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders

•Prior experience in managing large teams and outsource providers across different time zones
