Are you looking for your next challenge within Procurement? We are looking for an experienced IT Procurement Manager to join our Group Procurement team in Hove. In this role you’ll be managing the sourcing and contracting processes relating to IT activities throughout the procurement lifecycle. The aim is to ensure delivery of the desired outcomes within the risk appetite and identify and deliver additional value into the Legal & General supply chain through interaction with business stakeholders and suppliers.

  • Manage and lead commercial relationships with suppliers to ensure sourcing and contracting is carried out in accordance with regulatory, risk and business requirements in a timely manner
  • Ensure all contracting and commitment to spend is undertaken and governed in accordance with good practice and authorities
  • Implement and manage IT Procurement controls and governance in the context of the relevant policies and risk and regulatory frameworks
  • Conduct sourcing activities and negotiation for renewals, in-life negotiations and new supplier engagements ensuring relevant control and governance requirements are met, as demand dictates
  • Actively identify and lead opportunities to drive value and improve performance of potential supply base. Actively seek ways to reduce cost and risk and improve performance and value
  • Support the development of best practise methodology for IT Procurement through the application of rigorous and effective contract management policy and process, including comprehensive understanding of supplier agreements and strategy, applicable business unit strategy, business plan and key stakeholders
  • Qualification in CIPS preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IT contracts and frameworks including hosting, software and services models in the context of Financial Services
  • Good knowledge of contracting principles and associated legal frameworks
  • Understanding of IT service management
  • Understanding of financial models
  • Understanding of regulatory environment and impacts on commercial IT agreements
  • Proven commercial skills and command of sourcing strategies and ability to tailor approach
  • Proven negotiation skills with track record of delivering value at pace
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written, including production of reporting, business cases and governance papers
