We have a unique opportunity in our London offices (with the option of agile working) for a Pension Governance Manager. We would consider either full time or part time for this position.

Proactively lead and deliver high quality professional support ensuring adherence to all governance requirements.

Design and implement solutions that lead to improved management. Identifying potential issues before they arise.

Develop and implement appropriate policies, plans and controls aligned with Group strategy, ensuring compliance with best practice.

Ensure budget spend agreement with Group, delivery within budget, and regular review of provider service levels..

Build and manage relationships with internal and external; influence behaviours and best practice such that objectives are represented and realised effectively. 

Develop and implement continuous improvement plans in order to improve cost and overall performance.

Essential:

Experience of project management and change projects. 
Experience of providing advice and support for meetings, in particular boards.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical personnel.
Delivery focused and the ability to manage and execute projects efficiently.

Creative driver and achiever, not just an implementer.

Desirable:

Typically the jobholder will be a member of the Pensions Management Institute (or similar) with appropriate skills and expertise.

Knowledge of UK pensions industry.

Knowledge of the key concepts relating to DB pension schemes, including up to date knowledge of the DB pension world and Trustee obligations.

An understanding of the Financial Services industry.

Awareness of financial implications of actions associated with the pension schemes.

Experience of providing advice and support to pension Trustee boards.
