We are recruiting for a Senior Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) in our Hove offices to develop, support, promote and embed the Legal & General IT Supplier Management strategy and policies that continuously reflects industry best practice ensuring that Legal & General’s evolving strategic requirements are met.

Provide senior leadership within Group IT Commercial (GITC) for the successful delivery of IT Services group wide, specifically IT Supplier Relationship and Software Asset Management (SAM).

Support the evolution and communication of the GITC Supplier Relationship and Software Asset Management proposition to derive maximum commercial value for Legal & General.

To manage the activities of the IT SRM and SAM team in a manner that is consistent with the company’s policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement, to maximise performance of the area.

Support the development, direction and embedding of the Group Supplier Management strategy and policies to continuously maximise commercial value for Legal & General.

Provide commercial leadership and embed best commercial practices across the group, ensuring that value is continuously maximised from existing and new supplier relationships.

Qualifications:

Proven leadership experience (desirable)

Strong commercial experience gained from a supplier/vendor management, category management, or business development background

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior management stakeholders

CIPS or CIMA or ITIL or equivalent qualifications (desirable)

Educated to degree level (desirable)

Knowledge:

Experience of financial planning management and forecasting

Experience of working within a specialist team delivering against demanding individual and team performance targets

Demonstrate success in a pressured commercial environment

Commercial and contractual management experience

Skills:     

Financial Services or a Technology background

Experienced negotiator

Understanding of commercial purchasing and outsourcing processes

Understanding of contract law and drafting
