Digital Project Manager to lead project planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities ensuring that comprehensive project, quality and risk plans are prepared and actively managed through to resolution.

 

  • Takes end to end responsibility for the delivery of high complex digital projects or a medium project portfolio, establishing and maintaining the correct structures to control and monitor the deliverables to the business to realise the benefits as defined in the Business Case
  • Leads project planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities ensuring that comprehensive project, quality and risk plans are prepared and actively managed through to resolution - dependent on the project delivery method, e.g. waterfall, Agile
  • Delivers effective communication to all stakeholders to support effective decision-making and manage the smooth and integrated delivery of projects
  • Manages third party relationships ensures that dependencies are identified and managed and deliverables are achieved as defined in the project documentation
  • Determines, monitors and reviews all project economics, including costs, staffing requirements, project resources, and project risk, ensuring that there are appropriate and effective governance arrangements, supported by appropriate reporting
  • Identifies, secures and manages project resources to achieve project and organisational objectives in line with the project schedule, approved funding and within expected quality and timescales
  • Ensure that the principles of Conduct Risk and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) are embedded into your day to day operations to deliver good customer outcomes at all times. Ensure that all business processes and internal controls within your role are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk
  • Takes the lead in all matters with regards to the management of relevant employees.  Ensures that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows the Group’s policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement to maximise business performance

Qualifications

  • Agile
  • MSP Foundation and Practitioner
  • Managing Successful Programmes

 

Knowledge

  • Demonstrated knowledge of delivery change in primarily Agile, but also waterfall environments
  • Is proficient in principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of change from initiation through to implementation
  • Is proficient in the standards associated with the practitioner's current Role. Examples: End to end, Group policies and procedures, L&G risk framework
  • Is proficient in the hierarchy and culture of own, customer and supplier organisations and being able to identify the decision makers and influencers in order to successfully implement target operating model
  • Is proficient with methods and techniques for selection and managing contracts to ensure that third parties adhere to agreed contract requirements

 

Experience

  • Project Management Delivery - extensive experience of end to end project delivery including experience of agile methodology
  • Corporate, Industry and professional Governance - Is proficient in the standards, policies and procedures and risk frameworks utilised at L&G
  • Project Management Methodology - Is proficient in principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation to implementation, e.g. Agile, PRINCE2, MSP or APM.
  • Budgetary Control – Is proficient in the principles, methods, techniques and tools for the preparation and monitoring of budgets

 

Leadership

  • Management, coaching and mentoring individual and teams within a digital change environment
  • Is proficient in methods of identifying and abstracting issues into problem statements and drives the resolution forward. Networks internally and externally with peers to bring insights and add value knowledge to the wider community
