This role plays a key role in delivering digital analytics and martech tracking for LGI internal business, through implementation of custom javascript and standard vendors’ tags on our sites via our Tag Management System, Adobe Launch.

  • Implement digital analytics and 3rd party marketing tags and then deploy them to the sites via our  tag management system, Adobe Launch.
  • Develop / customise JavaScript to enable custom implementations of digital analytics and 3rd party martech tools when necessary for the stakeholders’ requirements.
  • Test the datalayer and debug the digital analytics and 3rd party marketing tags using browser dev console, packet sniffers such as Fiddler, Charles etc. to ensure the tracking implemented is as per the requirements, accurate and consistent.
  • Investigate tagging issues and console errors and then implement fixes.
  • Support the Senior Implementation Analyst in designing the technical tag implementation strategies and solutions.
  • Be involved in supporting small to large scale tracking projects and work with, and communicate to, stakeholders to manage their expectations.  .
  • To harness an in-depth knowledge of Legal & General's digital estate, as well as our online business model and digital measurement strategy to ensure digital tagging activities are aligned.
  • Ensure all digital tagging has our customer at their core and align with L&G’s commitment to Treating Customers Fairly, without exception.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent technical experience in this field.

Knowledge:

  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • Knowledge of cookies, session storage and other web technologies.
  • Some knowledge of Tag Management Systems is desirable.

Experience:

  • Experience of high volume on/offline transactional environments (desirable).
  • Proven experience of developing / customizing JavaScript in professional environments for at least a year.
  • Experience of debugging tags using browser dev console or packet sniffers such as Charles or Fiddler.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to logically and methodically investigate issues, narrow down the possibilities and reach a conclusion.
  • Expert user of MS office is essential especially MS Outlook, Excel & Word
