The Sales & Support Consultant will play a key part in assisting the MSS team in achieving its objectives of contributing to the success of the Legal & General Mortgage Club’s (LGMC).

To play a key part in assisting the MSS team in achieving its objectives of contributing to the success of the Legal & General Mortgage Club’s (LGMC). Contributing to the market leading proposition and sales development strategy through the day-to-day telephone based sales and support activities. Developing and managing new and on-going IFA relationships in support of the LGMC, driving up their usage and mortgage volumes into LGMC. Presenting commercial opportunities for both mortgage and Legal & General insurance products ultimately increasing the LGMC market share.

Targets: 

To effectively contribute to the achievement of the MSS function’s targets as prescribed by the management team. To actively promote and support the identification and development of new business relationships, through outward-bound telephone based sales and support calls.  To maximise sales and future business opportunities through MSS and SDM’s by increasing the number of IFA businesses and members.                       

Relationships: 

To actively engage with new IFA registrations, leads and members in a timely, efficient and effective manner following agreed contact strategy.  To follow up all leads in order to highlight to opportunities to other key areas within L&G.

Market Knowledge:

Ensuring awareness and confidence in regulation change within the financial industry. Keeping up to date with the current affairs of the mortgage market along with lending criteria changes, also helping to identify potential criteria gaps in the market.

Process: 

Gather, collate and record IFA’s details on Salesforce to ensure we have a full and accurate record of each firm to enable opportunities and potential to be identified.

Support:

Be an active, team player contributing during briefings and day-to-day activities and demonstrating a proactive input to the processes and systems of the MSS function. To be a motivating and supportive member of the team whilst actively carrying out telephone and face-to-face meetings daily.

  • Evidenced Customer Service experience (preferably with industry understanding)

Desirable experience:

  • Understanding of the mortgage process
  • Understanding of lenders criteria
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Good understanding of the housing market.
