The Communications Assistant will play a key supporting role in the administration of marketing material to customers and clients. This includes supporting small projects, managing relationships with suppliers and budget reconciliation. This is a fixed term contract for 3 months. 

Communications Assistant - 3 month fixed term contract 

The Communications Assistant will play a key supporting role in the administration of marketing material to customers and clients. This includes supporting small projects, managing relationships with suppliers and budget reconciliation.

  • Support the fulfilment process for mailings to clients and policy holders (DOM mailings).
  • To assist with the approval and maintenance of all collateral owned by Marketing Services, including: working with 3rd party suppliers and internal approvers to update existing literature, ensuring that it meets brand and compliance requirements.
  • To manage the literature stock levels, ensuring effective stock control is maintained.
  • To co-ordinate stationery requirements and orders across the wider team
  • Responsible for all aspects of budget administration including passing purchase orders and invoices for approval.
  • Assisting with the delivery of internal communications, whether through staff training, updates, monthly meetings, minutes, newsletters etc.
  • Assisting with the creation of marketing materials.
  • Assisting teams to define and plan their communications requirements, and help to carry out those activities.
  • Assisting with other work as needed to support the Marketing services team.

Knowledge:

  • Experience of providing administrative support to a Marketing team
  • Experience of working with teams and individuals to communicate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience of key marketing tools, such as content management systems, marketing automation software, and social media management tools
  • A good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office programs

Skills:

  • An excellent standard of written and spoken English. The ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and third party suppliers.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work independently and to take ownership of tasks.
  • Confident / competent Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe
  • Highly organised. Able to deal with multiple tasks at the same time
