The Business Management Managers are required to work within the Technology Transformation, Change team supporting specific change initiatives within the portfolios. 

 

ROLE SUMMARY

The Business Managers - Finance are required to work within the Technology Transformation, Change team supporting LGIMs RI/PI and Workplace enterprise portfolios and the specific change initiatives within the portfolio. 

These roles will involve working closely with the Senior Manager, Business Management to further develop and operate an enterprise Business Management capability across the LGIM change portfolio. 

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Drive Business Management activities across the portfolio, including:
  • Producing regular reports and leading on developing insight into portfolio decision making for executive-level stakeholders, including the monthly Change Management Committee, quarterly portfolio prioritisation and annual planning.
  • Driving a consistent and standard view of change initiatives across the portfolio, including benefits, resources, risks and dependencies and maintaining a central repository of key portfolio information.
  • Championing the LGIM BCMF framework for business change and contributing to the evolution of the framework and corresponding templates.
  • Leading a small team of highly skilled Business Management analysts that are focussed on enterprise work.
  • Add cover and support to the responsibilities of the Business Management.

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Significant experience of leading a Business Management capability at a portfolio-level, covering multiple programmes and projects, ideally in the financial services sector.
  • Solid understanding of project governance and controls in agile and waterfall environments (For example, SAFe and PRINCE2).
  • Demonstrable experience in building, motivating and leading a Business Management team.
  • Significant knowledge of project planning tools, with evidence of practical application.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to explain programme concepts and technologies to business leaders and business concepts to Business Management staff.
  • A distinctive blend of business, technology, financial and communication skills
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills with executive management, stakeholders and in an environment where resources may not be in direct control.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
