The primary responsibility of the Information Security Analyst is to support network security and information protection processes and technology for Legal & General to protect data through its lifecycle.

 

This is a role in the newly created Group Digital information security team, reporting to the Information Security Manager in the Digital Governance team. Therefore we do need experienced candidates who are able to hit the ground running to support the evolution of our information security strategy.

The primary responsibility of the security analyst is to support the information security manager in securing the information assets of Group Digital function within Legal and General.

We are looking for a motivated self-starter who has good communication skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Securing assets in Public/Private and Hybrid Cloud environments (preferably AWS)
  • Familiar with IaaS, PaaS and SaaS/cloud native based technology concepts
  • Familiar with requirements for securing CI/CD and code deployment pipelines
  • Security monitoring of critical systems and/or on-boarding of systems into a SIEM solution
  • Securing web facing systems
  • Providing security consultancy to internal projects
  • Identity and access management
  • Vulnerability management using industry standard tooling such as Qualys, Nessus etc. and managing associated patching/updates
  • Scoping and managing PEN tests including remediation activities
  • Performing security assessments of 3rd party suppliers and managing relationships
  • Taking an active role in external/internal audits as necessary
  • Ability to understand, analyse and apply policies against existing technical environments and identify gaps

 

  • Prior experience of working as a security analyst is required
  • Information Security and/or Information Technology industry certification (CISSP, GIAC or equivalent)
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, PCI-DSS and ISO27001
  • Enterprise risk management and treatment
  • Working within an agile environment (Jira / Confluence)
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise tasks.
  • ITIL processes
  • Information security governance and working within an ISMS i.e. – Policies, procedures, standards etc.
  • Understand business and commercial priorities
