The candidate will assist the Head of Urban Regeneration with full assistant duties. Attention to detail is key and the ability to, think logically, anticipate, and to trouble shoot to in order to facilitate the Director’s effectiveness. The workload of the Head of Urban Regeneration and her team is considerable, and they are always juggling multiple deals and business development opportunities which will require the assistant to effectively prioritise, be self-sufficient and actively become involved as a team player to help bring things together.  

The candidate will assist the Head of Urban Regeneration with full assistant duties. Attention to detail is key and the ability to, think logically, anticipate, and to trouble shoot to in order to facilitate the Director’s effectiveness. The workload of the Head of Urban Regeneration and her team is considerable, and they are always juggling multiple deals and business development opportunities which will require the assistant to effectively prioritise, be self-sufficient and actively become involved as a team player to help bring things together.  

This will be a highly organisational role and the candidate will be expected to carry out key tasks including:

  • Extensive diary and inbox management
  • Travel arrangements – booking flights, trains, hotels for business trips generally within GB and the occasional International trip.  The Director travels on average 2 trips a week.  The candidate is expected to fully prepare the Director’s travel arrangements within the L&G guidelines and pull together all the itinerary details and logistics and presentations for each business trip.
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage daily office operations for the team including, but not limited to, managing meeting room diaries, oversight of all external and internal event planning
  • Processing expenses
  • IT liaison
  • Potentially pull together presentations 
  • University degree preferred; minimum A-level or equivalent education
  • Previous PA experience at Director level or equivalent
  • Highly proficient management and technical skills including MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Background in financial services, real estate preferable
  • Intelligent all-rounder who is mature, confident, and professional
  • Attention to detail is a priority, and someone who a genuine a pride in their work
  • Dedicated and understands that this role requires enhanced responsiveness
  • Articulate and a very good communicator (written and verbal)
  • Experienced in dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Takes initiative and is proactive in anticipating the Director's and team's requirements
  • Good listener - understands instructions
  • Extremely well organized
  • Sound judgment and asks for help when appropriate
  • Enjoys taking responsibility and ownership of their role
  • Remains calm under pressure
  • Team player
