The Technology Risk Analyst (TRA), LGRI, provides analysis, action and reporting on the systems and processes that support technology risk and measures within Business Technology & Transformation (BT&T). The TRA will ensure effective analysis is conducted, reported and tracked and managed. The TRA will participate in ensuring best practice is adhered to and to evolve methodologies, processes, tools and techniques to drive maximum value in the delivery of effective Risk plans for BT&T in alignment with Business needs.

The Technology Risk Analyst (TRA), LGRI, provides analysis, action and reporting on the systems and processes that support technology risk and measures within Business Technology & Transformation (BT&T). The TRA will ensure effective analysis is conducted, reported and tracked and managed. The TRA will participate in ensuring best practice is adhered to and to evolve methodologies, processes, tools and techniques to drive maximum value in the delivery of effective Risk plans for BT&T in alignment with Business needs.

  • Maintenance of the First Line of Defence (1LoD) IT Risk Log and Group risk management tool One Sum X ensuring that risks, issues, risk events and actions are identified, and managed appropriately throughout their lifecycle
  • Ensure IT Suppliers are effectively assessed regarding the risks they provide and the effectiveness of their controls
  • To ensure suitable preparations for various Operational meetings such as the IT Risk Committee with risk, issue, event and action reporting in the required format with appropriate material risks escalated to the Operating Risk Committee (ORC) and Regulatory Risk Committee (RRC)
  • Develop and maintain key IT Risk indicators that clearly show performance against LGR IT&T’s risk appetite statements
  • Develop and maintain a Risk & Controls Self-Assessment to evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the IT Risk and Controls environment aligned to any framework requirements provided by Operational Risk and Group IT.
  • Ensure that the principles of Conduct Risk are embedded into your day to day operations to deliver good customer outcomes at all times. Ensure that all business processes and internal controls within your role are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk

Qualifications:

  • Degree educated- desirable but not essential or suitable comparable/demonstrable role experience and capability
  • Suitable risk certification such as Management of Risk (MoR), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), or Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Regulated Industry background preference
  • Experience of analysing, reporting and managing risk in line with structured business frameworks across complex geographical / functional matrix organisations. 
  • Relevant experience in IT preferably within financial services
  • Prior position in IT Risk, IT Governance, IT Audit or Information Security
  • Progressive achievement in one or more of the traditional IT disciplines (applications, operations, infrastructure, and management)
  • Understanding of multiple technology domains including software development, Windows, database management, networking, and UNIX
  • Understanding of information security standards, best practices for securing computer systems, and applicable laws and regulations

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with demonstrated ability to work independently focusing on priorities, and managing a high-volume of tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions
  • Collaborative worker who freely shares their knowledge and experience 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence a broad range of individuals across various internal and external businesses and support functions
