With around one million customers, our retail business helps turn customers’ pension savings into lifelong retirement income and our corporate business looks after our defined benefit pension schemes ensuring they are effectively managed to protect against risk and achieve their maximum potential.

1. Ensure that appropriate and effective financial controls are in place across IT&T including developing and manage appropriate FTE and Management Expenses budgets for IT & T to agreed tolerances for quarterly and annual budgets and forecasts. Attendance at key meetings and production and coordination of regular and ad hoc financial reports/MI to the COO and LGRI/LGRR senior teams, as required. 

2. Develop and own the internal communications and engagement strategy and plan for IT&T and work with internal communications teams to ensure the right level of engagement and knowledge sharing across LGR and group where appropriate. Drive motivational behaviours across the IT&T team and ensure key performance indicators related to business objectives are tracked and managed across IT&T

3. Take the lead in all matters in respect to talent, culture and inclusivity and ensure these are adequately adopted and documented across the organisation including taking the lead on the design and implementation of the on-boarding, talent and development processes across the organisation 

4.  Develop and own an appropriate talent management and development  strategy for IT & T people to realise the full potential of our people ensuring we have a resourcing strategy including the use third parties and contractors. 

5. Create a compelling narrative around IT &T that brings to life  and aligns to divisional strategy and goals, using multiple media and channels, aligned to the Digital Workplace ambitions. Work to identify continuous improvement activities and work across IT&T to support functions in their implementation 

6. To take the lead in all matters with regard to the management of employees, ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows the Group’s policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement to maximise business performance.  

7. Ensure that the principles of Conduct Risk are embedded into your day to day operations to deliver good customer outcomes at all times. Ensure that all business processes and internal controls within your role are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes (TCF) and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk 

 

  • Degree and/or MBA educated- desirable but not essential or suitable comparable/demonstrable role experience and capability 
  • Prince2, Project management and Agile/SaFe qualifications - desirable but not essential 
  • PROSCI/Adkar & change qualifications  - desirable but not essential 
  • ​​Financial Services or regulated industry background preferred 
  • ​Knowledge and experience of delivering and governing projects and programs of change in the complex financial/regulated services arena and of the principles, methods, techniques and tools for the preparation and monitoring of budgets and operational reports 
  • ​Proficient in the techniques for ensuring that full account is taken of customers' real and stated needs in the delivery of products and services, i.e. develop blueprints, Process mapping ​ 
  • Defining business strategies and ability to take a broader picture view of situations and proven practical approach in supporting the business to achieve business vision and targeted outcomes. 
  • Proven ability to build successful working relationships, networks and team dynamics to deliver collaborative outcomes with evidence of influencing senior stakeholders and developing outcomes that challenge their original thinking.   
  • Product, process and technology savvy with an aptitude to bridge the gap between business and IT, adapting to trends and openness to new ideas. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume of tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions with an ability to clearly define issues and make tough decisions in the face of ambiguity  
  • Communicating and inspiring confidence at a senior level with technical and non-technical audiences with Track record of building effective relationships in complex environments 
  • Develop, get buy-in and deliver strategies across the division & group 
  • Effective at making good decisions and delivering great outcomes in pursuit of the IT&T strategy. Strategic thinker with first class organizing and action planning skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence a broad range of individuals across various internal and external businesses and support functions  
  • Strong influencing skills, ability to develop and mentor individuals and a collaborative worker who freely shares their knowledge and experience
