We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Cardiff team

The purpose of this position is to support the implementation of a new chart of accounts within the Finance and Accounting Operations department. The role is required to work in conjunction with the existing BAU team to support them in the transition including liaison with the wider project team when required.

The role will be responsible for key implementation activities including testing, documentation of output and exceptions reporting. During the parallel run period it is expected that this role will deliver accounting tasks in conjunction with existing BAU processes. Experience of assisting in the preparation of financial ledgers and trial balances and associated reconciliations will therefore be required.

Knowledge & Experience:

Relevant experience working within a finance and accounting function

Experience of execution of test scripts

Excellent knowledge and experience of excel

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including word and PowerPoint.

Experience of working on a core accounting system and performing ledger postings and reconciliations.

Experience of using, extracting and reporting data from accounting and other office based administration systems.

Knowledge and understanding of systems and structures within business units

Knowledge of key organisational structures, frameworks and core processes
