NEXUS Business Analyst

  • Completing a Product Backlog from ‘Epic’ level business analysis and design down to detailed ‘User stories’ incorporating ownership of design workshops, identifying solutions, provision of wireframes, acceptance criteria and worked examples within each user story
  • Responsible for ensuring developers and testers understand each story prior to any development effort starting, creation of BDD feature files for the automated testing of all business logic and QA & UAT support
  • Provide 3rd line support, as appropriate, principally to applications within Investments
  • Ensuring that information about the product is shared with the rest of the department through presentations and documentation using agile best practices
  • Ensure that all customers/stakeholders are treated fairly in line with Legal & General’s principles on Customer Experience, Everyday Matters, Our Strategy, Employee Engagement, Continuous Improvement and TCF policy
  • Agile Story Writing
  • Broad range of product management knowledge and working for and within a scrum team
  • An ability to estimate the time taken to carry out analysis tasks, and meet the time estimated
  • Demonstrated ability to develop product backlogs from high level design to detailed small, independent user stories
  • Development and execution of plans
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with users to define concepts and agree requirements
  • Must be able to demonstrate a collaborative approach with developers and subject matter experts to establish the approach to projects, and ensure good communication of requirements
  • Experience of SCRUM, iterative delivery and SCRUM ceremonies
