We are hiring a Partner Development Manager to develop and maintain GI sales through specified Broker and Partner accounts nationally in the Broker division, to achieve New Business, GWP and profitability targets.

  • Develop and maintain GI sales through specified Broker and Partner accounts nationally in the Broker division, to achieve New Business, GWP and profitability targets
  • Manage the GI activity for those key relationships and therefore contribute to the wider sales target across Broker distribution for GI
  • Ensure all dealings with the market place support Legal & General’s Customer Experience and TCF policy, and business objectives are achieved in line with the Broker General Insurance operating plan and strategy
  • The jobholder will be home based and will be required to travel to other UK locations in supporting our business partners

Please note this role is offered as a 12 month fixed term contract / secondment. The role is home based, but will involve regular travel to our Birmingham office and as required for business meetings.

  • Relationship management experience and sales negotiation, experience preferably gained in a field based role (preferably GI background)
  • Understanding of managing P&L’s and Broker/Partner performance
  • Experience of presenting to external partners and/or clients
  • Experience with commercial negotiations and new business hunting
  • Clearly communicates at all levels and shares knowledge with peer group and the wider L&G business
  • Understands and reacts accordingly to information being given via different styles
  • Ask open and propping questions to understand all relevant information in fact finding with brokers
  • Apply the relevant product features and benefits to meet Broker/Partner requirements
  • Express views and ideas with confidence within the team and in team meetings
  • Proactively makes suggestions and share ideas on how to improve processes within Insurance
  • Works with other team members to pursue a common goal of achieving KPI’s and service levels across all of GI
  • Communicates views and ideas in a positive manner
  • Shows flexibility to business requirements – performing duties not linked to primary role
  • Displays a positive attitude towards achieving agreed team and individual KPI’s to achieve required results
  • Fully embraces team KPI’s and has a positive impact on results
  • Displays a positive attitude towards achieving agreed team and individual KPI’s
  • Meets action points agreed in 1:1s and team meetings and with business partners
  • Self-managing: Demonstrates effective time management
  • Naturally builds rapport and easily establishes relationships
