Analyse and facilitate resolution or resolve incidents and service requests from our internally written and third party applications. Providing exemplary technical support while administrating the back end of the applications.

  • Perform the anlaysis of requirements, development and testing of systems or the data held within them. conducting peer reviews; deliver unit and QA testing, and support the business in User Acceptance Testing and go live issues
  • Produce deliverables that follow the development standards and principles on time
  • Work with and assist the other teams within the department and stakeholder teams including the provision of technical support
  • Adhere to the end to end change process, controls and IT security policies and procedures; raising appropriate paperwork in a timely manner. work effectively with colleagues during the development lifecycle
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of systems and produce high quality documentation both to demonstrate the solution and also allow the team to support systems efficiently in production.
  • Ensure developments are compliant including compliance with our commitment to treating customers fairly

Qualification:

  • ITIL foundation desireable

Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of finance reconciliation and payment processes
  • General understanding of insurance and finance products
  • Conversant with IBM OS/2 mainframe environment, including knowledge of SAR addon (SYSOUT architeval and retrieval system) and the SDSF tool (spool display and search facility)
  • Functional administrator level knowledge of any of the following systems: Fiserv Accurate, NXG, Oracle EBS, Experienc EPG
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and access is required.; VBA programming an advantage
  • Good knowledge of software development lifecycle, agile and waterfall development, project lifecycle.

 

Experience

  • In developing and supporting changes and fixes on payment and banking applications
  • System analysis; verficiation of functional design documents and preparation of technical design documentation
  • Requirement experience of working with databases; including writing sql querieis to retrieve edata
  • Exposure to DB2 databases an advantage
  • Prior exposure to programming in a procedural langauage at intermediate level.
