PRT Business Services are looking to recruit a part-qualified (actively studying) Senior Actuarial Analyst who is making good progress through the exams. The successful candidate will work closely with other PRT teams on new and existing reinsurance arrangements (including collateral) and provide post-sale actuarial support including the completion of the final (inception) pricing.

  • Support the PRT Business Services Team in providing post-sale monitoring and calculations relating to inception pricing, reinsurance, longevity and collateral arrangements in a timely, efficient and proactive manner and help supervise the Actuarial Analysts.
  • Help on-board new PRT reinsurance arrangements, including reviewing and feeding in comments to draft contracts and models;
  • Provide actuarial support to the PRT Business Services Operations Team in Hove on BAU arrangements;
  • Ensure the highest level of support is provided to clients (internal and external) including consultants, trustees and reinsurers at all times;
  • Provide actuarial support to projects relevant to the PRT Business Services Team, as agreed with the Head of PRT Business Services;
  • Calculate the final price on PRT new business arrangments post-sale and advise trustees of any balancing payments required.
  • Part Qualified Actuary with good progress made through the exams;
  • Previous experience of being part of a project/deal based team;
  • Some knowledge of Defined Benefit Pension Schemes;
  • Knowledge of different types of reinsurance arrangement;
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.   High attention to detail;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines to ensure project delivery.
