We are looking to recruit a Business Technology Partner to be based in our Cardiff or Hove office. Please note that our preference will be to hire someone into our Cardiff office. 

To become the ‘Trusted Business Technology Advisor’ to the business unit COO and management team

To act as ‘Intelligent Customer’ helping to define service levels and manage expectations for technology capability, enhancing the capability for supplier management.

To be the ambassador for LGR Business Technology by promoting its vision, values, services, and capabilities.

To act as an advocate on behalf of business leaders to ensure Technology alignment with business priorities.

To own the IT strategy on behalf of LGRR, ensuring that it has the IT systems & controls, operations, data and analytics in place to meet its  growth agenda

To recommend new and innovative technology solutions that will deliver tangible and / or qualitiative benefit to the LGRR division

To own the technology delivery plan for the unit and support management in realising the benefits and business values associated with that plan.

Qualifications

Degree level or equivalent in technology / business related discipline.

MBA desirable

Knowledge

In depth understanding of the retail retirement income market

In depth understanding of technology and digital market and trends as it relates to the above.

Experience

10+ years’ experience of managing and delivering technology enabled digital innovation in retail financial services and/or customer services operations

Excellent problem solving, analytical and financial skills

Proven background in adapting trends and openness to new ideas

Strong organisational and change management skills and attention to detail

Effective at managing a broad technology remit across many different areas.

Excellent understanding of technology and its use in delivering pragmatic, cost effective business solutions

Effective transformation of business divisions to deliver cultural and business outcomes, including digital first strategies

Leadership

Strategic thinker with first class organizing and action planning skills

Collaborative worker who freely shares their knowledge and experience

Develop, get buy-in and deliver strategies across the division & group

Effective at making good decisions and delivering great outcomes  in support of the business unit strategy

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence a broad range of individuals across various businesses and key support functions

Strong influencing skills, ability to develop and mentor individuals

Track record of building effective relationships in complex environments
