We are excited to present this opportunity for an experienced Relationship Manager to manage commercial and contractual relationships with allocated key suppliers, throughout the lifecycle of the agreement at Legal & General. 

  • Manage and lead commercial relationships with suppliers to ensure contract compliance including performance against SLA’s, delivery of outcomes and realisation of benefits.
  • Track expenditure for applicable suppliers ensure all invoices and payments are made correctly, to budget and expectations, and that budgets and accruals are managed appropriately.
  • Implement and manage supplier management controls and governance in the context of the relevant policies and risk and regulatory frame works.
  • Negotiate renewals, in-life negotiations and new supplier engagements ensuring relevant control and governance requirements are met, as demand dictates.
  • Actively identify and lead opportunities to drive value and improve performance of potential supply base. Actively seek ways to reduce cost and risk and improve performance and value
  • Support the development of best practise methodology for SRM through the application of rigorous and effective contract management policy and process, including comprehensive understanding of allocated supplier Agreements and strategy, applicable business unit strategy, business plan and key stakeholders.

Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of IT contracts and frameworks including hosting, software and services in the context of Financial Services
  • Understanding of service management
  • Understanding of financial models
  • Understanding of regulatory environment and impacts on commercial IT agreements

 

Skills

  • Negotiation with track record of delivering value at pace
  • Communication, verbal and written, including production of reporting, business cases and governance papers
  • Numeracy to a high level
