As a Senior Business Analyst you will be fully versed in the principles and concepts of analysis including requirements elicitation, business process modelling and stakeholder management.

As a member of the Analysis function you will support Group Change and Delivery by;

  • Critically review and evaluate proposals to initiate change activity, identifying fit with an agreed divisional Roadmap and challenging with Sponsors where conflicts and contention exist so that the integrity of the Roadmap is maintained.
  • Works with key business stakeholders within the Group Finance and Group Function divisions to define strategies, draw up feasibility studies, and requirements specifications, produce high-level and detailed business models and implement solutions, which will have a measurable impact on the profitability and effectiveness of the divisions.
  • Lead requirements elicitation processes on projects, including activities and deliverables for defining the business opportunity/problem, planning and executing business analysis, eliciting requirements from stakeholders and requirements documentation.
  • Comply with L&G’s agreed methodology, standards, policies and procedures to produce a consistent high standard of documentation, and ensure strong governance.
  • Conduct requirements validation with stakeholders, gain appropriate approvals, and manage the change processes for requirements documentation.
  • Ensure that there is clear requirements traceability throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Critically review and evaluate any proposed solutions identifying alignment with business requirements, making recommendations to key stakeholders ensuring they are fully aware of the risks and assumptions, and marrying up technical limitations with operational realities.
  • Continually evaluate the quality of all deliverables, including those of 3rd parties, to ensure the end product is fit for purpose and are acceptable to all stakeholders.
  • Define, develop and deliver business processes and system solutions to ensure a consistent and good level of service that means customer expectations are met.
  • Deliver effective communication to all interested parties, including stakeholders and Divisional Directors, to support effective decision-making and manage the smooth and integral delivery of programmes.
  • Allocate analysis tasks to more junior analysis staff as required, and take full responsibility to ensure work is delivered to the required standard.
  • Ensure alignment to L&G’s Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly Policy.
  • BCS/ISEB or IIBA certifications in Business Analysis are essential. 
  • Strong use of business analysis tools, techniques and governance in order to support the delivery of robust business change.
  • Must be a self-starter and delivery focused with a positive collaborative attitude.
  • Solid experience in a senior business analyst role and/or experience working within the Finance sector is an advantage. 
  • Experience of managing a team of Analysts is an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong use required of analysis tools, techniques and governance in order to support the delivery of robust business change via waterfall and agile methodology. 
  • Solid experience of business process modelling activities is required. Candidate must be proficient in process modelling tools and techniques e.g. MS Visio.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to prepare and present information using different techniques to gain any stakeholder buy-in and articulate complex information to other team members.
  • Capable to confidently liaise with, influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels including directors, senior managers, qualified actuaries, accountants and IT change professionals.
