We are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst into our Hove based office

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Results Delivery and Management.

Perform tasks and processes, under guidance, to support and enable the delivery of timely financial reporting results, for the appropriate business divisions, for all metrics (including but not limited to IFRS and Solvency II bases of reporting), meeting required internal and external standards.

Support the analytical and investigative work carried out by the team.

Compliance with all internal and external standards and best practice.

Customer Relationship and Information Management.

Identify, establish and maintain close working relationships  with other teams and customers involved in the reporting process to ensure that results are delivered in a smooth, controlled and efficient manner, responding calmly and with pragmatism to unforeseen events

Process management.

Perform, with some guidance, the tasks necessary to enable the development, support, maintenance and continuous improvement of the team’s financial reporting systems, processes and reporting methodologies, ensuring they are robust, for the ongoing production of the financial results.

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Good level of written and verbal communications including presentations

Ability to work to tight deadlines

Effective Priority Management  and management of conflicting requirements

Flexible approach to work requirements

Personable, approachable

Ability to work without guidance and ability to use initiative as required.

Technical knowledge

Reporting metrics: IFRS and Solvency II.

Qualifications

Typically the jobholder will be a part qualified actuarial student
