The Business Analyst will lead the requirements elicitation process on projects, including activities and deliverables for defining the business opportunity/problem, planning and executing business analysis and proposition activities.

  • Work with the Commercial Director to identify and introduce new propositions to the market that align and underpin 4 strategic pillars.
  • Assist Commercial Director in business case development and/or recommendation papers to the Board or relevant committees.
  • To champion the customer experience in all facets of delivery.
  • To support the ScrumMaster with change management to key online and offline assets, products and capabilities.  Changes to cover platform development, ongoing UX improvements, regulatory change, business efficiency:
  • Draft and dispatch of project documentation such as project status reports, work stack.
  • Where required step into projects (operational & digital) to own and lead key workstreams.
  • Ability to support Agile and waterfall projects and lead the requirements elicitation processes on projects, including activities and deliverables for defining the business opportunity/problem, planning and executing business analysis.
  • Ensure that there is clear requirements traceability throughout the lifecycle of the project, including user story acceptance criteria for Agile projects.
  • Conduct requirements validation with stakeholders, gain appropriate approvals, and manage the change processes for requirements documentation.
  • Attendance and deputisation of project governance and controls including ATP and PLM completion where appropriate.
  • Lead and/or support Commercial Director as Design Authority in scrum team projects, facilitating sprint ceremonies (such as Show and Tell, Design Authority Scrums) and waterfall projects, following the Agile mindset regardless of delivery discipline.
  • Critically review and evaluate any proposed solutions identifying alignment with business strategies making recommendations to key stakeholders ensuring they are fully aware of key risks and assumptions.
  • Work with pricing, finance, insights and analytics teams to build robust management information and success criteria to ensure we have actionable insights from all our deliverables.
  • Continually evaluate the quality of deliverables, including those of 3rd parties to continuously learn and iterate.
  • Ensure that appropriate prioritising, planning, resourcing and contingency for customer issues are integrated into programme and resource plans so they are central to delivery and aligned to L&G’s Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly Policy.

Qualifications

  • Degree (Level of learning)
  • BCS Business Analysis Diploma

Specific Experience

Significant demonstrable:

  • Business Analysis experience or
  • Proposition experience or
  • IT project experience (either Developer, BA, PM or System Tester) or
  • Experience of Operational Change, Data & Process modelling, mapping, continuous improvement & re-engineering and
  • Experience in a hybrid on and off-line environment.
