We have an excellent opportunity for a Governance Reporting Team Manager to join our Workplace Savings team in Cardiff.

To lead the Governance Reporting team to actively manage and produce the full suite of Scheme Reports on a monthly/quarterly basis as required. 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES             

  • Manage a team of Reporting Consultants, prioritising workload and managing available resource to enable a comprehensive, timely and accurate reporting support. 
  • Coach and develop the Reporting Consultants in their roles ensuring valuable ‘on the job’ learning is captured and training gaps identified and bridged. 
  • Maintain an excellent knowledge of the market that DC Operations operates within. Knowledge is required of our administration processes, system developments & legislative changes
  • Lead the team by actively maintaining a network of key internal contacts that may be used effectively to enable the Contract Reporting Team to provide Reporting excellence to the Corporate Distribution team.
  • Provide regular accurate and timely management information in respect of the key activities undertaken within the Contract Reporting Team and demonstrate the effective use of resource. To make recommendations for improvements as and when appropriate.  In addition this will  include MI on risk monitoring for key activities
  •  Utilise training and development facilities within L&G, take ownership of your own development in the role and where appropriate provide support to your colleagues in their development.  This is to maximise the quality of service to our customers in the most cost effective manner in line with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
  • When resource allows manage what additional support we can offer and provide to our colleagues in Operations for the benefits of Legal & General clients.

 

  • Previous Team Manager experience is highly desirable
  • Demonstrate effective performance management and coaching skills in order to maximise the team's potential.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills across all levels
  • The ability to provide and understand appropriate MI
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills ( detailed MI analysis )
  • The ability to ensure that the team performs within service standards, therefore providing maximum customer satisfaction
  • The ability to use Microsoft Office packages ( advanced level Excel )
  • Ability to work to deadlines and organise own workload
  • Strong relationship building skills ( internal and external stakeholders )
  • The CF1 qualification would be desirable
  • Financial services experience would be desirable
