We are looking to recruit an Operational Planning Manager – Business & Tactical Planning who will lead and develop a team of business planning analysts to deliver robust and accurate business plans and budget forecast models.

  • Lead and develop a team of business planning analysts to deliver robust and accurate business plans and budget forecast models.
  • Lead and develop tactical team to deliver operational service targets and KPIs.
  • Develop and manage reliable forecasting tools and processes that deliver high accuracy at monthly, weekly, daily and intraday level, which will provide relevant MI to the Tactical, Business Planning and Operational teams, for them to make the right decision for the business.
  • Support and cover for Head of Operational Planning manager in BAU activities such as co-ordinating team and workload, liaising with stakeholders and projects.
  • Ensure robust processes in place for FTE tracking and data accuracy, across Planning, Finance and HR.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and analysing data against budget figures on a weekly and/or monthly basis.
  • Customer Contact Channels - Understanding of load balancing and blending of contact centre resource across multi channels demand.
  • Develop and deliver training to the wider Operational Planning Team that helps individual technical development / system knowledge and helps the department increase its overall effectiveness.
  • Manage, motivate and develop employees at all levels, in a manner that is consistent with the Company’s policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement, to maximise the performance of the area.

Analytics - Demonstrated ability to analyse large quantities of data to  extract business critical intelligence.
Technical - Must be able to quickly adapt to new systems and understand underlying structure of data sources to best leverage the reporting potential of our systems.
Forecasting - Must have a clear understanding of forecasting methodologies including application of regression analysis and time series modelling.
Contact Centre - A clear understanding of the dynamics of customer service environments, KPIs and demand drivers.
Process Mapping -  Must have experience of mapping existing processes and the ability to identify critical nodes and workload drivers.

Advanced knowledge of systems - Excel, Access, Analytics / Statistic, IEX – WFM and forecasting tools  and business planning.

Programming / DBA experience would be an advantage.

Experienced in building and leading a specialist tactical Team.
