Reporting to the Construction Director an opportunity exists in our team for a customer focused, site based, Project Manager, who shows great leadership and decision making skills.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for agreeing detailed construction programmes for all development sites after consultation and agreement with Construction Director & Managing Director.
  • Responsible for driving and detailed weekly reporting to Construction Director on site progress, including all off-site works, infrastructure works and non-residential development 
  • To effectively monitor and control construction performance, including prelim and site wastage to ensure both costs are minimised at all times.
  • To champion product quality and strive to Hand Over defect free properties to sales for customers’ legal completions.
  • To deliver a robust Safety, Health and Environment Policy and without exception to apply a zero tolerance approach to SHE breaches at all times.
  • To manage the process to deliver top quality sales areas and show homes on time and within budget
  • Responsible for reporting to the Construction Director on construction progress on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for ensuring all personnel are appropriately qualified to work on site and that no site operative is permitted on site without having been appropriately inducted.
  • To drive Customer Service and quality standards across all developments.
  • Help to generate solutions/recommendations to resolve any construction and/or quality issues and encourage all staff to come forward with suggestions for improvement in process, build quality, customer service and any other area of the operation. 
  • Embrace and be prepared to introduce/implement a variety of modern methods of construction as agreed with Construction Director.

Knowledge & Capability:

  • A proven track record of delivery as a Project Manager with experience across multiple large scale residential construction programmes.
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting the management of project risks and the highest standards in Health and Safety.
  • Flexibility and Change Orientation - The ability to grasp problems and issues by breaking them down into their component parts, to solve problems, process information, assess risks, form judgements and develop solutions.
