Role Purpose: 

  • To complete the Business Analyst Apprenticeship Programme, gaining experience and knowledge of a Business Analyst role.
  • To carry out IT Delivery tasks which are consistent with the L&G IT strategy and to ensure quality and efficiency.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Successfully complete all modules, project work and case studies of the Business Analyst Apprenticeship Programme.
  • Learn and help to progress, implement, monitor and review projects with the potential to manage a small project through a complete project life cycle.
  • Ensure IT deliveries adhere to L&G governance standards and principals, highlighting risks, issues and ensuring business value realisation in line with the stated aims and scope of the business case.
  • Assist in the management of a high profile IT Delivery Portfolio and gain awareness of scheduling, resource and planning considerations.
  • Support IT Delivery managers by gaining a comprehensive understanding of key project types, approvals stages and organizational structures
  • Provide effective updates and communication by continuously collaborating with IT Delivery Managers, Head of IT and cross functional stakeholders to support smooth delivery of project activities.
  • Ensure all projects comply with L&G standards and best practices
  • Ensure all projects have our customer at their core and align with L&G’s commitment to Treating Customers Fairly

 

Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSE or O’level - Grade: A* to C or 9 to 4 -  Including Mathematics and English Language or equivalent study experience or experience
  • 2 A Levels (Mathematics or Computer Science) or Equivalent study experience/experience - Grade: A* to E

Other Entry requirements for this apprenticeship as per government standards:
•    Minimum age is 18 with an A-Level or hold a level 3 in a similar subject or hold an existing project management qualification
•    Suitable candidates should also have ideally been working in a business environment for at least 2 years

Skills:  The applicant must be:
•    Self-disciplined, reliable and responsible
•    Self-motivated
•    Strong analytical and logical thinking 
•    Attention to detail
•    An enthusiastic learner
•    Genuine interest in project management/IT
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Office
