The Data Quality Officer will support the Data Quality Manager in Operational Risk work. This role will be closely working within the Risk & Compliance team and Operational teams.

The Data Quality Officer will support the Data Quality Manager in Operational Risk work. This role will be closely working within the Risk & Compliance team and Operational teams.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To provide triage on reported Issues, Breaches and Events, escalating and recording them as necessary.
  • To own the local Breach and Issues log, undertake root cause analysis and ensure action plans are completed in a timely fashion.
  • To co-ordinate the Operational Risk Attestation schedule.
  • Secretariat for Business Risk Forum to include meeting administration, generation of agenda, collation of MI and writing up of minutes.
  • Ownership of a suite of Records Management tools (Data Asset Inventory, Record of Processing Activity etc).
  • Organise the suite of Data Protection Impact Assessments, including the review schedule and assisting colleagues with new assessments.
  • Ownership of the GDPR mailbox, MI reporting and escalation of GDPR related matters including Data Subject Access Requests and customer’s requests to exercise rights under GDPR.
  • Divisional representative for Data Handling & Destruction projects.
  • Experience within one of the following: records management, data retention and destruction, data protection impact assessments
  • Excellent communication skills, especially written
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to handle and manipulate data using MS Excel
  • The ability to work sensitively and professionally with colleagues
  • Able to remain calm under pressure
  • Able to take minutes at formal meetings and accurately record resulting actions
  • Certificate level in Risk or Information Security (beneficial)
