We are recruiting for a Systems Analyst in our Cardiff offices

Definition of the business opportunity or problem statement using customer focused techniques to understand the customer pain points.

Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and other discovery activities to achieve greater understanding of the existing processes and systems, as well as elicit requirements and/or technical detail from stakeholders, producing high quality documentation reflecting obtained information

Capture and validate technical requirements expressed as user stories, as well as non-functional requirements using research, data, and architectural insight to facilitate informed decisions on priorities and areas to focus on

Collaborate with Architecture, Design and Product teams as well as external stakeholders to support delivery of technical solution designs across multiple products and business areas

Work closely with the Product Owner and scrum teams to identify and prioritise User Stories at a Business Case / EPIC level

Manage stakeholder alignment and communication at various levels across multiple business areas.

Manage architecture risks and issues, with specific focus on data and operational processes, ensuring that significant items are escalated appropriately and in a timely manner.

Understand major technology trends and recommend innovations that deliver business value.

Qualifications:

Degree level qualification or equivalent, ideally with a technology focus

Knowledge:

Solid Business Analysis or Technical Architecture experience and background working within a technology team delivering digital platforms.

Experience working as a BA or technical analyst within an Agile Scrum team and product development environment

Experience working with complex databases and/or special interest in data analytics would be a plus

Solid understanding of the working of APIs and documenting relevant specifications.

Experience of tools commonly used in an Agile environment e.g. JIRA / Confluence

Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills, process modelling, and excellent attention to detail. Some experience of data analysis and data mapping would be an advantage.

Confident working with ambiguity

Ability to operate in a matrix organization effectively

Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
