To support the Marketing Manager through effectively planning, producing and delivering marketing campaigns and other promotional and communications activities to help support the profitable growth and business goals of the Intermediary and Broker distribution channels.

  • Plan, produce, implement and evaluate digital and offline marketing campaigns and other communications to support the promotion and sale of ‘insurance products’ through the Intermediary and Broker channels.
  • Co-ordinate the production, approvals distribution processes for the development of new promotional marketing materials to help the intermediary sales team – maintenance of a full audit trail for compliance and budget purposes. 
  • Own all existing printed and online promotional literature across home, landlord, and lifestyle insurance products for brokers and intermediaries – responsible for maintaining approvals and print volumes.
  • Work with Marketing Manager and creative agencies to agree, develop and implement relevant and engaging content strategy for Intermediaries and Brokers.
  • Ensure that content is relevant, current and in line with agreed marketing plans to support the business objectives.
  • Copywriting and ownership of monthly email communications to our B2B database to provide product, system and content updates.
  • Marketing activity to support trade events including social media, email communications, Direct Mail and website activity.
  • Support the Marketing Manager with the management of the marketing relationships and communications issued via our Intermediary network partners – including email content, microsite development and approval.
  • Assist in the development of relationships with existing and prospective business to business partners and customers. Offer marketing expertise and advice/support in the area of marketing relevant to each activity, including attending regular account management/channel meetings where necessary, accepting actions to take away and implement.
  • Drive innovation and new thinking with a digital first approach to communications.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all project and campaign activity, including performance of activity against plan.
  • To ensure the communications developed within the defined budget and are of high quality, and on brand.
  • To manage, brief and work with multiple agencies including art working, creative, video and digital agencies.
  • Work with compliance, advertising standards and product areas to support the approval control and expiry for Intermediary and Broker team owned items. Ensure all marketing materials are clear, warm and not misleading.
  • Work across the wider L&G business to define how we better communicate with intermediary customers and streamline the communications approach.

Experience:

  • Experience of working in a B2B marketing role for a large organisation, ideally in financial services.
  • Experience in creating marketing campaigns, content, presentations, sales support materials, collateral and emails.
  • Significant experience in using and managing systems such as an email service provider and content management system.

Knowledge:

  • A good head for numbers and familiarity in developing and interpreting MI to measure the effectiveness of your activity.
  • Knowledge of working with agencies to brief, review concepts and deliver communications on time and to budget.
  • Robust general knowledge of the General Insurance Market (beneficial)
  • Solid understanding of the risk and regulatory environment.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent desirable.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workloads.
  • An excellent level of stakeholder management and people skills to forge good working relationships
  • Good networking, influencing and relationship management skills with the ability to clearly communicate and influence at all levels.
  • A willingness to learn, enthusiasm and drive.
