The Trainee Investment Analyst will work across all the Urban Regeneration and Clean Energy sectors in the Direct Investment (DI) Portfolio, providing support for both teams in terms of day to day management of the business and existing investments as well as contributing to acquisitions and sales.

Please note, this is not a Graduate level role. We are interested in hearing from candidates with A-Levels with a strong interest in investments. 

The Trainee Investment Analyst will work across all the Urban Regeneration and Clean Energy sectors in the Direct Investment (DI) Portfolio, providing support for both teams in terms of day to day management of the business and existing investments as well as contributing to acquisitions and sales.

Please note, this is not a Graduate level role. We are interested in hearing from candidates with A-Levels with a strong interest in investments. 

  • Support the team with the management of portfolio companies to include
    • Attend site visits,
    • attending meetings,
    • writing update notes
    • assisting the team with regular reporting
  • Assist the team with the budget process by co-ordinating information
  • Conduct sector research and attend presentations, feeding back key findings to the wider team
  • Undertake research into competitors and potential partners
  • Assisting the team with the production of pitch books and other presentation materials
  • Work with the finance team to ensure the data and information is accurate, of appropriate quality and produced on time
  • Attend meetings to take minutes ensuring they are concise and reflect the meeting and agreed actions
  • Collate information regarding relationships with LGC’s external Data vendors
  • Start to develop core modelling skills to support Investment Committee materials

Qualifications:

  • A levels
  • Support for further qualifications and training will be offered

Knowledge & Skills:

  • An interest in the built environment, sustainability and clean energy
  • Numerate
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Word, Excel and Power point would be advantageous
  • Attention to detail
  • Confident communicator (both written and oral)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates an interest to learn and progress
