We are recruiting for a Marketing Consultant based in Cardiff
Create and deliver marketing plans to provide APE growth of protection products from our key bank partners.
Fully immerse yourself into the cultures, strategies and operations of the banks partners in order to integrate into their marketing plans and communication channels
Deliver activity through on and offline marketing channels, including but not limited to, email, remarketing, web content, video, internal communications, merchandise, printed literature, brochure ware and in branch collateral.
Challenge existing thinking and provide innovative marketing solutions to sales and process challenges
Measure the impact, ROI and effectiveness of all marketing activity delivered
Help to define the proposition and alignment of the protection offering to the Banks brand, value proposition and tone of voice
Work with our creative, print, mailing and analysis agencies and experts across the wider Protection business to provide full service marketing support to banks partners.
Work closely with account directors and managers of the banks partners to understand the operations, requirements of the partner and spot opportunities to influence their plans
Have a good understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends for protection to share best practice with bank partners
Attend and prepare updates for governance meetings as required by the banks partners (some travel required)
Build highly effective working relationships with the banks marketing teams to understand the brands and their customers, and identify opportunities to improve performance and optimise budget
Track and manage the budget for the banks partners – ensuring that all costs represent good value and input into quarterly reforecasting and corporate plans.
Contribute with best practice and the incorporation of the latest developments and thinking in the delivery of communications across the entire marketing mix.
Identify and manage risk through the robust usage of the group risk infrastructure and ensure alignment with supplier management teams within the Insurance business.
Keep abreast of any existing or changes to, compliance, regulatory and company standards.
On an on-going basis, ensure that all campaigns meet the required brand guidelines, regulatory standards, and all L&G specific requirements for compliance/advertising
Experience of defining and creating complex communication plans across products and customer segments
Good understanding and proven track record of D2C or B2B2C channel marketing activity that have driven demonstrable business results
An excellent level of stakeholder management and people skills to forge good working relationships
Good networking, influencing and relationship management skills with the ability to clearly communicate and influence at all levels.
Solid understanding of the latest methods of measuring and optimising marketing investments to drive sustainable profitable growth.
A strong understanding of paid, earned and owned media and the role that each plays in the marketing mix for advisor (in branch) and direct to customer audiences.
General knowledge of the Protection and Life Insurance Markets
Experience of developing and managing insight led customer marketing plans and activities across a range of services, products and brands, preferably within Financial services, or a highly regulated environment.
Strong creative skills with the capability to assess every piece of communication through the eyes of the customer and the ability to inspire others to think creatively.
Solid understanding of the creative process and working closely with agency partners to deliver creative excellence.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to optimise budgets
Good presentation skills
Educated to degree level or equivalent desirable
Vocational or professional qualifications in Marketing disciplines (e.g. CIM) desirable
