We are looking for a Loading Manager to join our highly successful Pensions Risk Transfer (PRT) area within LGR taking responsibility for ensuring the team is providing an efficient loading service both during the installation phase and once the FDS has been signed.

Understand the nature & frequency of the demand for scheme loading and Policy Document distribution and ensure the system of work within the team is designed against this demand

Responsible for managing and developing the controls, processes and documentation for all aspects of the loading and policy document production process

Design, implement and maintain an annual rolling plan for outstanding scheme loading; prioritise against customer/business/regulatory/cost/need and deliver against the plan.

Responsible for checking individual scheme loads as required ensuring that data and rules are loaded accurately and all test calculations are documented.

Identify development needs and provide on the job training on various aspects of the area’s work and provide technical advice and instruction to less experienced members of the team.

Act as technical expert for all Loading and Policy Document queries, which could include being utilised as the Society’s contact and expert on sensitive or priority schemes, acting as the focal point for queries and having responsibility for interpreting and keeping up to date with current pensions legislation and HMRC practice.

To ensure workflow is accurately recorded on the appropriate system to ensure accuracy of work tracking and management information.

Facilitate the operation of a variety of bulk exercises (Transfer, WULS etc) in line with the agreed process liaising accordingly with Installations and Loading.

To manage, motivate and develop employees at all levels, in a manner that is consistent with the company's policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement, to maximise the performance of the area.

Knowledge

  • Significant knowledge and experience of Defined Benefit Pensions Schemes.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge and experience.

  • Lead the Loading & Policy Document team by; leading by example; manages expectations; is a role model for positive behaviours

Our view is that this role is suitable for agile working. This means we would consider a more flexible working arrangement, where your hours and work location are managed according to business, customer and personal needs. For this role, you would be based in Hove, but you could work in other Legal & General offices or at home, as necessary, provided this meets business needs. Details of agile working will be discussed during the interview process.
