We are recruiting for a Builds / Quality Assurance Manager in our London office.

Duties:

  • Own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, co-ordinating and management of releases across a number of business critical applications.  Releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades and change projects
  • Responsible for implementing and managing releases processes for code through both testing and production environments
  • Takes ownership of the management of the test and pre-production environments.
  • Work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects (in particular developers and testers)
  • Work with IT management to improve the software engineering practices associated with continuously building, deploying and updating software and environments

Responsibilities:

  • Forward plan the release windows and cycles across the applications
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budgets, and that they meet or exceed expectations
  • Co-ordinate release content and effort based on the product backlog and technical  debt
  • Maintain and communicate the release schedule for core applications and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors
  • Develops and enhances scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate and deploy software releases
  • Monitor and report on quality of software reaching pre-production and production environments
  • Knowledge of Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence and similar tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with customers to prioritise release contents
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
