We are currently looking for a fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivilent) Finance Manager based in our Hove office.

The Financial Control team is an integral part of the Retirements Division (LGR) finance team. The team has a wide range of responsibilities, from technical accounting papers and MI for the CEO through to Expense and Risk & Control management. The team operates in a dynamic and collaborative way and will frequently look to utilise the capabilities of team members across the different areas of responsibility.

This role is for a Finance Manager who will focus on the Financial Controls Framework (FCF). The key purpose of the role is to provide assurance to management that key financial controls are in place and being operated correctly.

This role will be expected to provide key support to the Associate Financial Controller as well as providing wider leadership and support to the rest of the team. It is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to gain broad exposure across the L&G group.

Alongside the BAU Controls work there is an FCF project in operation and this role will both support the project in this initial set up as well as designing the ongoing monitoring processes.

  • Fully qualified Accountant - essential
  • Knowledge of the operation of financial controls
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability present complex financial information in a suitable manner for senior management
  • Exposure to an auditing background or similar
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry

For this role, you would be based in Hove, but you could work in other Legal & General offices or at home, as necessary, provided this meets business needs.
