We are looking for a New Business Coordinator to join our highly successful Pensions Risk Transfer (PRT) area within LGR to load immediate annuitant schemes on to the pensioner periodic payment system via the mainframe, AESOP or individual forms as appropriate.

We are looking for a New Business Coordinator to join our highly successful Pensions Risk Transfer (PRT) area within LGR to load immediate annuitant schemes on to the pensioner periodic payment system via the mainframe, AESOP or individual forms as appropriate.

  • To produce individual member Introductory letters and ensure these are issued in advance of the ‘forecast letters’ being received
  • To make alterations to existing records on the pensioner periodic payment system
  • To provide ongoing support to brokers, scheme Trustees and individual members for large or complex schemes until the scheme benefits are finalised
  • Check the original quote data against the payroll data, resolve any issues and produce the relevant data schedules for the Installations team
  • To use SAS and/or Business Objects to produce schedules and provide information on existing Legal & General Schemes both internally and externally
  • Make payments on a String for specific buy-in schemes and reconcile payments against member movements on a monthly basis
  •  Set up and maintain scheme records, and to personally deal with the investigation of anomalies and to take whatever action is appropriate
  • To record and resolve internal and external customer enquiries at all levels both quickly and accurately by reference to scheme data systems information and knowledge of current legislation and practices
  • Ensure all internal customers and any relevant 3rd parties are kept updated in a timely fashion on any key information to enable them to treat their customers fairly

Knowledge and experience:

  • Payroll knowledge essential
  • Knowledge and experience of Defined Benefits Pensions Schemes
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Advanced Excel User & SAS experience desirable

Electronic loading:

  • Use of SAS to manipulate and analyse payroll data sent in from an external source;
  • Liaison with Sales Rep, Installations Consultant, Brokers and previous scheme administration to resolve inconsistencies and inaccuracies;
  • Specifying benefit formulae and variables to be transferred electronically to PPS;
  • Liaison with PPS department to ensure scheme loaded on time and with no errors;
  • Production of welcome letter to pensioners introducing Legal & General;
  • Production of data schedule for Installations Consultants.

Manual Loading

  • Liaison with brokers and previous scheme administrators to resolve inconsistencies and inaccuracies;
  • Completion of on-line / manual forms specifying personal details and benefit lines;
  • Production of welcome letter to pensioners introducing Legal & General;
  • Production of data schedule for Installations Consultant.

String Schemes:

  • Initial liaison with current administrators and brokers to obtain the necessary administrative information
  • Ongoing liaison with current administrators to ensure payrolls are reconciled and payments made in a timely manner.

SAS/Business Objects Work:

  • Creation and uses of SAS programs to extract and manipulate data from various sources into various formats.
  • Creation of Business Objects reports to extract and manipulate data from various sources into various formats.
