We are looking for a Liability Data Analyst to join our highly successful Pensions Risk Transfer (PRT) area within LGR to support the successful on-boarding of bulk pension scheme data, consistent with the LGR data strategy and data quality expectations.

We are looking for a Liability Data Analyst to join our highly successful Pensions Risk Transfer (PRT) area within LGR to support the successful on-boarding of bulk pension scheme data, consistent with the LGR data strategy and data quality expectations.

Work directly with scheme Trustees or EBC’s to communicate and resolve data deficiencies. The role holder will work with minimal guidance, interacting directly with EBC’s, scheme trustees and internal stakeholders across multiple levels. They will also be accountable for the timely delivery of data that meets the specified quality standards.

Perform the required data analysis, cleansing, transformation, integration, and delivery in support of a range of internal customers, including core administration systems.

Perform the role of data SME across multiple data sources.

Deliver data in support of recurring and ad-hoc requests from customers throughout the business.

Data Cleansing:

Ensuring data quality standards are met through the application of business rules and data validation against incoming scheme data; the identification of resulting errors and exceptions; the resolution of errors through interaction with scheme trustees and EBC’s; and through mastery of data management tools and business requirements, define, develop and maintain new business rules to support a continual focus on improved data quality and new customers.

Data Transformation:

The transformation of incoming scheme data consistent with the LGR standard schema and data definitions.  Development of new mappings and target schemas in support of new customers of data cleansing and transformation services.

Data Integration:

The combining of data from disparate sources in support of reconciliation, validation and data migration activities.  Utilise in depth knowledge of LGR data sources to support the integration of incoming scheme data with information from internal systems and databases to enhance data insights.

Data Mining:

The interrogation, extraction and analysis of incoming scheme data in preparation for cleansing, transformation and integration with other LGR data sources/systems.

Prince 2 or equivalent is beneficial

Knowledge:

In depth knowledge of project management and test frameworks

Proven technical experience

Sound mathematical ability

Good knowledge of defined benefit pension scheme rules

Skills:

Advanced user experience of MS Excel including advanced formulas and macros, pivot tables, formatting and conditional formatting. 

Access: including advanced queries, macros, multi table queries, parameter queries.

SAS & SQL experience is desirable

Experience in delivering best practice MI solutions (e.g. highlight reports, management dashboards)  

Good problem solving and analytical skills
