We are looking for an Expense Accountant to join our Cardiff team.

Manage the detailed monthly accounting processes for LGIM’s cost base ensuring that appropriate accruals and journals are booked on a timely basis for all LGIM cost centres, departments and companies. This accountability will include the division’s UK and overseas operations, including payroll related activities.

Manage the provision of timely, accurate and informative management reporting to internal customers and stakeholders relating to expenses, headcount and employee costs, providing insight around emerging trends to facilitate optimal business performance.

Work with Finance representatives across L&G to ensure that costs are controlled wthin which allocate outside of the LGIM division continue to be managed effectively and apportioned in an efficient, transparent and equitable manner.

Ensure that expense related balances are settled effectively and fully reconciled. This will include intercompany balances within the LGIM consolidation group as well as balances with Group Finance.

In conjunction with other areas of Finance including the Business Partnering team, manage detailed annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes for centrally managed expenses.

Prepare ad hoc analysis to support the Business Partnering team in modelling business development opportunities and other initiatives.

Ensure that appropriate processes and systems are maintained to enable the LGIM Finance team to contribute to the division’s ongoing compliance with L&G’s TCF and customer experience policies.
