The Admin Assistant will join a dynamic, close-knit team providing administrative support to the Business Manager, Legal & General Retirement Savings. You'll be liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and you'll ideally have an administrative background, with excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Ensure administrative support is provided to the Heads of Business units by arranging meetings, presentation support, agendas, supporting material and minute taking (when required) whilst ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and consistency at all times
  • To provide administrative support with a range of activities i.e. travel arrangements, ordering IT equipment & stationery, structure charts, processing invoices & raising POs, workshop / training course bookings, and event planning in an efficient and timely manner
  • Support the co-ordination of a variety of special projects such as Employee Engagement, team away days, meetings, training courses, ensuring rooms are booked, trainers are arranged, refreshments available, utilities are booked as required and liaison with attendees
  • Work as a team to manage the on-boarding of new joiners & movers to the business unit and the smooth exit of any leavers
  • Manage the audit requirements for centralising signed job descriptions, keeping the distribution lists updated as well as maintaining the Business Continuity
  • Contribute to wider L&G Retail Retirement initiatives as required.
  • Experience of working in an administrative capacity is essential
  • Ability to prioritise work to importance and deadlines and to be flexible in a continuously changing environment
  • Capable of working alone as well as being an active team member
  • Demonstrate accuracy and high attention to detail at all times
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of honesty, integrity and confidentiality
  • Flexibility to cope with demands, deadlines and pressures and to remain calm in role
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills at all levels, including a professional telephone manner and the ability to create a strong internal/external network.
