We're recruiting a Business Process Automation Developer to design and build automation solutions in accordance with agreed design principles and conventions that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.

  • Design and build automation solutions (processes, objects, workflow and code) in accordance with agreed design principles and conventions that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand
  • Identify and communicate technical infrastructure requirements
  • Identify solutions (automation or other), aligned with business requirements, and make recommendations taking into account costs, benefits and risks
  • Document process requirements and solutions using the agreed standards, methods and tools ensuring consistent high quality output
  • Support existing processes and implement change requirements as part of a structured change control process
  • Identify, evaluate and raise change risks, issues and dependencies that may impact project deliverables, proposing mitigating actions where appropriate
  • Create user acceptance test (UAT) documents, identifying all the process scenarios and their expected outcomes
  • Deliver processes and systems to ensure a consistent and good level of service that means customer expectations are met, is consistent with what we have communicated and is aligned to L&G’s Treating Customers Fairly policy
  • A thorough knowledge of automation software, including BluePrism and Nice - Attended automation
  • Knowledge of the systems and processes used across LGI
  • A track record in the successful delivery and support of Excel macros, Visual Basic scripts or other configuration or scripting type technology 
  • Workflow based logic experience and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualise it as an automated solution
  • Willingness and ability to blend business analysis with hands-on configuration and development of processes automation software
  • The ability to learn quickly and progress rapidly from theoretical exercises to real world delivery and mentoring tasks
  • The ability to work with a structured and methodical approach, combined with an enquiring mind
  • An understanding of, and a willingness to adhere to formal change control procedures and disciplines
  • An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error
  • Good written skills with the ability to produce clear, concise and accurate documentation
  • Good inter-personal communication skills, communicating with subject matter experts, business process owners, and the Blue Prism development team to help ensure the appropriate automated solution
  • Ability and confidence to work unsupervised
