Role is responsible for the implementation of the strategic accommodation plan that defines the L&G / GRE overall accommodation strategy to ensure that space within the L&G estate is used effectively; in order to support the business needs.

  • Deliver a cost effective moves process that ensures moves are completed in a timely manner, with no adverse impact to the business.
  • Initiate and manage through to completion GRE projects that are required to support the L&G accommodation plan, including scheduling, resource planning, estimating and shaping a business case ensuring the project meets the strategic goals of L&G
  • Deliver projects to agreed objectives and budget, managing issues/risks/dependencies, establishing and meeting resource requirements (including external suppliers), to ensure compliance with L&G Governance controls.
  • Authorise and monitor expenditure, to agreed authority levels, to support the delivery of the accommodation plan and projects assigned by the Head of or Senior Operations Manager UK Facilities.
  • At all times ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirement i.e. Health and Safety and environmental policy.
  • Implement effective communication processes to support and manage the delivery of projects and the accommodation plan, resolve any conflicts of interest.
  • Take the lead in all matters with regard to the management of employees who report directly or indirectly to you, ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the Group’s policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement to maximise the business performance are followed.
  • Ensure that appropriate management information, processes and systems are in place to provide support to other areas of the business so that customers are treated fairly in line with L&G’s Customer Experience and TCF Policy.
  • Project management experience (Prince2 desirable) with excellent communication skills, the ability to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, logical thinking, advanced interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to define and deliver a varied range of projects whist also managing the day to day actives within GRE (facilities).
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programmes, specifically MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel to create spreadsheets.
  • Space planning experience (CAD) - Ability to use the latest version of AutoCAD to update floor plans as well as create new innovative office layouts
  • Facilities management knowledge and experience
