We are recruiting for a Model Governance Manager in our Hove offices. This could be a part time role (at least 60%) or full time position.

The role involves:

Supporting the Model Risks Control Framework team by managing the programme activity that is run by external model owners.  This involves very strong planning and stakeholder management skills

Ensuring the Actuarial Change team's adherence to governance processes, managing the integration process that leads to the release of new versions of the models, tools, and code owned within the team.

The role is key for the team in ensuring that the models are maintained in a safe and secure manner.  The governance role is key in reducing risk of error and incorrect release of code.

The role holder will expect to advance to ensuring best practice is established, shared within the team and delivered throughout.

Very strong stakeholder management skills

Very strong planning and workflow management skills

Knowledge of finance change processes and best practice

Knowledge of model governance and finance process risk management

Interest in finance technology.

Actuarial background preferred - an actuarial qualification is not required.

Our view is that this role is suitable for agile working. This means we would consider a more flexible working arrangement, where your hours and work location are managed according to business, customer and personal needs. For this role, you would be based in Hove, but you could work in other Legal & General offices or at home, as necessary, provided this meets business needs.
