The Financial Accountant will manage the day to day operations of a new subsidiary within the L&G Group, ensuring adherence to key service levels with the department and compliance with group reporting requirements.

  • Manage the day to day operations of a new subsidiary within the L&G Group, ensuring adherence to key service levels with the department and compliance with group reporting requirements.           
  • Develop, implement and oversee a robust month end process, ensuring that all key financial reconciliations are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide the Financial Reporting Manager with all necessary information to collate any relevant financial reports alongside detailed analysis of the performance of the business
  • Establish and maintain the financial integrity of the LGHF Group, ensuring internal and external audits are appropriately conducted
  • Ensuring that all necessary financial information is captured in an accurate fashion to enable the company to comply with the requirements of laws & regulation as well as other authorities to mitigate against any risks to the Company’s reputation.   
  • Key involvement in all financial process development undertaken by the business, whilst providing support for the wider change processes being implemented.
  • Work alongside the wider business to provide accurate and timely forecasts to ensure that the business is on target to achieve the long-term goals.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent

Knowledge:

  • Financial Services experience (preferable)
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV experience (preferable)
  • Understanding of Company Law and regulation.
  • Business acumen and be able to deal with financial concepts, understand risk and deal with ambiguity and conflicts.

Skills:

  • Able to deliver strategic thought and influence business strategy
  • Highly numerate with a professional qualification such as ICAEW or equivalent
  • Ability to develop business relationships at all levels
