Recruiting for a Workplace Change Manager in our London offices.

The Workplace Change Manager (WCM) is a key member of the Group Real Estate (GRE) team for Legal & General. The role holder will provide analysis, planning and change delivery advice across the group. The role holder will influence data driven decision making on people locations and future ways of working, driving forward the efficient occupation of all premises and our evolving business needs. The role will then deliver on change required to support people and locations.

Develop a collaboration network across the business for GRE workplace and location change maintaining accurate utilisation/vacancy/void/allocation/ trends. Use data to become the GRE subject matter expert on occupancy and where to apply data for the resultant efficiency of the estate. Input into the accommodation and occupancy strategy for L&G GRE and L&G employee experience strategy.

Make data evidenced to maximise space utilisation, occupational cost and enhance working environments for L&G colleagues. Be the first point of contact for all space related enquiries. Manage the GRE space planner role (outsourced) to ensure all estate drawings and occupation data is accurate and current and prioritisation is clear for projects and timelines for delivery

Implement effective communication and engagement processes to manage customer expectations, promptly resolving conflicts with tact and diplomacy. Ensure all impacted employees are informed of upcoming changes and are clear on the role they will play in the process. Advise the business where key group activities may require scheduling changes.

Support the GRE Property and Infrastructure Manager with design, planning and scheduling of workplace refurbishment / fit out or occupation change for GRE projects. Be the lead liaison for all furniture solutions change with approved suppliers.

Ensuring that all projects are compliant with legal and regulatory controls - health and safety, building control, planning and environmental regulation and policy. Make recommendations to minimise the environmental impact of any project. Where required, reduce and control unacceptable risks working with the relevant GRE partners.

Treating Customers Fairly. Manage complaints in an impartial way, demonstrating independence and sound judgement based on all relevant information. Assess whether customers appear to have been provided with sufficient information to enable them to make an informed decision to accept the recommendation presented to them.

Manage, empower, motivate and develop employees at all levels, in a manner that is consistent with the company's policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement, to maximise the performance of the area. Work together to further the success of the business by enabling a flexible approach in a time of rapid and continuous change.

Qualifications:

Autocad / Revit Certification (or equivalent experience)

Project Management Certification an advantage

Knowledge:

Experience of managing multiple workplace change projects simultaneously

Experience managing workplace change projects up to a value of £250k.

Experience of AutoCAD, Revit or similar tools to produce scaled and accurate general plan drawings. Experience of virtual reality design would be advantageous.

Experience of real estate planning and design in a corporate business.

Demonstrable project management, change journey and delivery experience. Experience of supporting teams transitioning to new ways of working such as non- allocated desks, shared open floor workspaces or agile working practices.

Skills:

Advanced stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels using negotiation and diplomacy.

Confident with Microsoft Outlook, MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel applications. Previous use of digital workplace planning and reporting tools.
