We are recruiting for a Head of Marketing Services on a 12 months fixed term contract/secondment in our Hove offices

Purpose:

Lead the development & delivery of the marketing plan for both online and offline communications across the full product range.  Ensure that plans are delivered on time and to budget using the most efficient and effective channel thereby supporting LGIM with with its overall DC sales and retention targets and ambitions.

Principal Accountabilities:

Develop & deliver profitable campaigns across all channels to meet contractual & regulatory requirements that in turn support LGIMs growth objectives.

Work with the Head of Product & Propositions & Head of Financial wellbeing to agree strategies, resources & budgets  in order to support new client, product and propositions activity within DC Workplace

Liaise with Key Stakeholders to develop & deliver engaging & innovative communications solutions that meet the business objectives and improve customer experience in a cost effective way

Measure the impact and effectiveness of all activity to inform future strategy, taking accountability for the continual improvement & management of communications materials.

Be responsible for the approval process for all communications materials, ensuring items are clear, accurate and balanced and meet all L&G standards & policies. Ensure that the team have appropriate operating procedures in place and adhere to Group audit guidelines and that they work to regulatory guidelines at all times.

Manage all third party suppliers including fulfilment houses and printers, ensuring that they work as an extension to the internal team, thereby ensuring quality output is delivered, to timescale and within budget whilst seeking new innovative & efficient opportunities.

Lead a team high performing communication professionals. To take the lead in all matters with regard to the management of employees, ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows Group’s policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement, to maximise the performance of the area.

In support of the Head of DC Client Communications provide leadership, ensuring that effective people, processes, systems and controls are in place and that functions are integrated effectively to ensure operational communication plans adhere to L&G’s customer experience and TCF policies

Qualifications:

Professional qualifications in relation to the role are essential for example PMI, AFPC, IMC, CIM, IDM

Knowledge & Experience:

Proven track record in leading a communications team ideally within a financial, services environment, ideally with a pensions focus

Proven track record of success in senior marketing/communications roles

Proven track record of managing risk and developing operating procedures

A strong commercial background and experience of building successful strategies to drive the desired business and customer outcomes

Specific experience is required of:

Supplier management and relationship development of operations and marketing fulfilment suppliers

Budget planning, forecasting and financial management

DM & EDM techniques

Segmentation techniques & strategies

Strong knowledge is required of:

The DC market place, and how the business operates commercially and financially across the various distribution channels

LGIM’s products and services

LGIM’s competitors

Fulfilment and post-sale communications processes

Experience leading a team of multi-disciplinary high performing professionals to successfully plan and execute marketing programmes

Skills:

Entrepreneurial mind-set with the ability to spot original marketing opportunities

Confident, driven & dynamic leader

Excellent stakeholder management experience with the ability to push back when required

Excellent interpersonal skills, especially problem solving, influencing, negotiating  & decision making

Good bundled pension & investment fund product awareness

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to articulate and convey issues and ideas to senior stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner
