We are looking to recruit an Advertising Standards Consultant into our Hove office.

To ensure that promotional material provided to our customers is clear, accurate and balanced so they can make an informed choice about our products and services.

To provide a customer focussed, professional, creative and pragmatic communication and an online advertising guidance and approvals service, to ensure material is wholly compliant and meets all legal and regulatory requirements.

Provide approvals expertise to key stakeholders and help to develop new initiatives, working closely with Conduct and Operational Risk, appropriate marketing teams, other Business areas and Approvals Managers in respect of delivering a high-level advertising standards.

Develop and maintain a close and continuous working relationship with key stakeholders. In particular:

  • Provide training, support and guidance to originators, marketing teams and others directly involved in the customer communication processes both Online and Offline.
  • Maintain constructive dialogue with other approvals teams and Risk, focussing on identifying matters of common interest and / or concern and delivering appropriate solutions to manage the risk.
  • Focusing on Group’s policies and procedures to maximise business performance and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of LGRR’s, LGHF, and PRT product range and knowledge of products provided by other divisions within Legal & General Group.
  • Detailed knowledge of L&G guidelines as they relate to customer communications.
  • Experience of working closely with Conduct Risk and senior management to develop policy and working practices.
  • Experience of interpreting FCA rules and guidance into ASD policy.
  • Experience of working in a product environment, including PLM and product development.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in Senior Approval roles (or similar environment)
  • Ability to use a variety of media to communicate information, through data analysis, presentations, written reports and graphs
  • Excellent relationship management skills e.g. networking, influencing, negotiating.
