We are recruiting for an Infrastructure Architect in our Hove offices
This is an exciting time to join the infrastructure architect team as we look to help shape the future with growing adoption of IaaS (AWS, Azure, IBM cloud) and PaaS (such as MS Office 365) services.
Work in close partnership with SSIT strategic outsource partners (IBM, Vodafone & TCS), and other suppliers where required, to ensure the integrity of any SSIT provided IT infrastructure service target architecture design and implementation.
Provide appropriate guidance, advice and governance oversight to L&G business unit change teams to ensure the integrity of SSIT accountable IT services where business change activity crosses the recognised SSIT service boundary.
Provide first line Infrastructure Architecture design, governance and implementation support for strategic SSIT sponsored change/transformation initiatives (e.g. End User Computing refresh, Microsoft Office 365 services adoption, Public Cloud - AWS/Azure)
Ensure adherence to Shared Services IT (SSIT) Infrastructure Architecture (IA) governance & assurance process & control oversight for all central IT led infrastructure change activity, and where business unit led change activity crosses the central SSIT function service boundary.
Working with strategic IT outsource partners support the continual review, maturing and development of any new Infrastructure Architecture (IA) governance framework & processes to ensure appropriate controls are applied in line with the organisations IT security and risk appetite.
Management and escalation of identified IT Infrastructure technology risk and issues, ensuring that significant items are escalated in a timely manner using the appropriate risk control framework and processes.
Provide Infrastructure Architecture support to strategic mergers, acquisitions and divestment activities.
Where required provide Infrastructure Architecture support to commercial supplier contract reviews, renewals and RFI/RFP activities.
Engage with key stakeholders to ensure relationships are developed and maintained.
Extensive experience as an infrastructure architect or similar with good exposure to a range of infrastructure technologies.
Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
