This is a great opportunity to join an expanding Group Change & Delivery team within London, to support the delivery of Financial and Actuarial projects and change initiatives working with a number of senior key stakeholders.

As a Business Analyst you will be fully versed in the principles and concepts of analysis including requirements elicitation, business process modelling and stakeholder management.

As a member of the Analysis function you will support Group Change and Delivery by;

  • Working with key business stakeholders within the Group Finance and Group Functions divisions to define, validate and document requirements and/or user stories.
  • Delivering comprehensive, accurate and high quality analysis artefacts within agreed deadlines.
  • Defining, re-engineering and modelling “As Is” and “To Be” business processes and procedures.
  • Identifying root causes and providing options and recommendations.
  • Proposing and evaluating solutions.  Identifying alignment with requirements to ensure clear traceability throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Contributing to analysis planning and monitoring activities.
  • Engaging and managing stakeholders at all levels – including operational users, senior managers and executive sponsors.
  • Leading analysis tasks as well as working under the supervision of a Senior or Lead Analyst as and when required.
  • Identifying and raising risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies that may impact project deliverables.  Proposing mitigating actions where appropriate.
  • Contributing to formal project closedown, including the application of analysis related lessons learned.
  • Complying with standards, policies and procedures to produce a consistent high standard of documentation, and ensure strong governance.
  • BCS/ISEB or IIBA certifications in Business Analysis are essential.  
  • Must be a self-starter and delivery focused with a positive collaborative attitude.
  • Solid experience in working on large, complex business environments within the Financial Services sector is essential.
  • Experience with working in Finance Change – particularly Financial Reporting/IFRS is an advantage.
  • Strong use required of analysis tools, techniques and governance in order to support the delivery of robust business change via waterfall and agile methodology. 
  • Solid experience of business process modelling activities is required. Candidate must be proficient in process modelling tools and techniques e.g. MS Visio.
  • Experience of defining, re-modelling and documenting operational models is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to prepare and present information using different techniques to gain any stakeholder buy-in and articulate complex information to other team members.
  • Capable to confidently liaise with, influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels including directors, senior managers, qualified actuaries, accountants and IT change professionals.
  • Ability to work with various business areas to understand their current operations and to ensure their business needs/goals align to the strategy.
